My name is Phil North and I live in Boynton Beach with my wife Sandy. My career in computers and networking began as a technician for Bellsouth Telecommunications in Miami, Fl. I was employed by Bellsouth for 7 years installing and maintaining DSL networks for businesses and residences.

Following Bellsouth I worked for DSLi which is a Voice over IP (VoIP)and DSL provider based in Miami which offers internet based communications for businesses and residences. With DSLi I gained experience in specialty DSL circuits including ADSL, SDSL,IDSL and T1 technologies. I currently work as an independent contracted technician serving several providers including Earthlink, Vonage, Megapath and Covad Communications.

Throughout my years of telecom experience what I have found is that many of my customers know how to use their PC’s on a basic level but feel left behind in the new computer age.  I am very impressed with the computer knowledge of many of my Senior customers and their level of comfort at the keyboard. However, I still get asked many questions and the answer is just a click away. I started Tutors for Computers after recognizing that there are many Seniors who are willing to learn and want to know which new technologies are at our fingertips.  Take your knowledge to the next level.
